This is a wonderful antique chest from a Belgian Chateau near Charleroi.
Made on the grounds by a skilled cabinetmaker, this chest is a unique piece with a lot of character. Over time it gained a wonderful patina from age and use - the green paint mostly disappeared but slightly visible on most sides. Wonderful wood working with a body made out of solid oak with details in pine. Wrought iron period lock and key.
Wonderful wabi sabi appearance!
Comes in a good antique condition with a very nice patina overall.
