Art Nouveau Table Lamp in Sand Cast Brass and Etched Glass 1920s
This is a wonderful early 20th century table lamp in sand cast brass and etched glass. Made in Europe, 1920s.
Quintessentially art nouveau with its floral and natural forms, this table lamp shows an incredible elegant and timeless design. The frame in solid brass curves upwards in way reminiscent of a stem or branch, a hallmark of Art Nouveau's love for natural forms. Hanging from the end of the brass arm is a finely etched glass shade. The shade itself is shaped like a teardrop or flower bud, with elegant diamond-like patterns etched into the frosted glass.
The twisted fabric-covered electrical cord complements the aesthetic perfectly and becomes a part of the design itself.
Comes in a very good original condition with slight wear due to age and use. EU wired.
