'Galeries Anspach Brussels' Art Deco Side Table in Solid Oak. Belgium, 1940s.
Wonderful art deco side table in solid oak from the renowned Belgian luxurious department store 'Galeries Anspach' from Brussels. Founded by Louise Tiriard and Victor Beaussillion in 1899, the 'S.A. Galeries et Grand Bazar du boulevard Anspach' became one of the most luxurious stores in Belgium in the early 20th century. The main store was partly designed by famous art nouveau architect and designer Victor Horta.
The table features a modest and timeless design with some refined art deco details like the pearl-like carved edge. A great addition to any stylish interior. Can be a good high side or end table, but can also be used as a gueridon like center table with some flowers on top.
Comes in a good and original condition. Signed with a label underneath.
