This large sculpted wall plaque by Italian artist Guerrino Bardeggia shows a female figure with closed eyes. The figure is rendered in bas relief and is highly textured and tactile. In this plaque the human figure is reduced to essential lines and volumes. A wonderful piece.
Guerrino Bardeggia (1937–2004) was a renowned Italian artist. He worked across several disciplines, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and graphic arts.
The wall plaque comes in a good and original condition - with original chain. Signed at the lower left.
