This is a very wonderful mid century folding down sofa, a so called ‘Knole’ sofa or settee.

It is named after a famous 17th century sofa / settee still located in Knole House, Kent (United Kingdom), a former archbishop's palace currently owned by the National Trust.

This is a more modern version with brass finials, tassels and a timeless yet classical design. Upholstered in a very elegant and suiting brown / olive green velvet, this is a very comfortable and stylish sofa.

Both armrests fold down at various angles, so you can create a very comfortable seating or lying position.

Comes in a very good and original condition with some slight wear on the velvet upholstery.
