A very remarkable and monumental late 19th century sofa in patinated dark brown leather, studs and velvet upholstery.
This is a statement piece for sure, with its ornamental sides and back, the enormous amount of brass studs and the beautifully patinated leather all over. It is almost entirely covered in leather - even the smaller surfaces and the decorative lower apron up front. Great details all over, from the studded formations in all sorts of shapes, the turned pillars in solid wood and the upholstery in rich brown velvet.
The sofa comes in a very good original condition with period upholstery which is not entirely perfect anymore. Reupholstery could be done if required.
Overall this remarkable sofa shows its age very gracefully.
