Set of 4 Modernist Chairs in Solid Oak and Straw Belgium 1960s
This remarkable set of four modernistic dining chairs is designed in the manner of Belgian designer and art collector Emiel Veranneman, Belgium 1960s.
They have a very distinct design with sturdy lines and and are very well made in solid oak and straw - showing true craftsmanship. The proportions are well chosen and the chairs have a sturdy yet elegant appearance. Less is more, no decorative elements are added.
The slightly angled rear legs are characteristic, as well as the recessed edge underneath the straw seat. The solid oak frame shows great quality, and besides minor signs of use, this admirable set is in a good condition.
