SOLD - Tripod Coffee Table in Solid Oak 1960s
This is a wonderful and heavy tripod coffee table in solid oak, dating from the 1960s and made in Belgium.
Featuring a distinct brutalist / farmhouse esthetic, this table is a very honest and straightforward example of European mid-century furniture making. The table is showing beautiful wood joints and a very expressive oak grain, making it visually very pleasing. Also, the tripod base gives it a certain richness - this base makes it interesting to look at from many different angles. The thick and heavy top shows great proportions and a subtle bevelled edge.
The table comes in a good vintage condition, showing some signs of inactive woodworm (treated).
